The wine-growing estate Albano Carrisi is located in Cellino San Marco. In recent years it has made its mark in the national and international market because of its high quality wines. Their red wines are very successful for their well-balanced taste. But also the white and rosé wines have found an audience of demanding enthusiasts. In addition to the traditional wine Don Carmelo (red, white and rosé wine), which is named after the famous singer, new wines were introduced: Felicità is a white wine from native grapes with a high proportion of Sauvignon with a fresh, young and rich flavour. The red wine Nostalgia is made from the classic grapes Negroamaro and Primitivo and has an intense colour and a strong yet light taste. The rosé Mediterraneo has a natural flavour, thanks to its conventional production methods. The wines from this winery combine ancient and modern and traditional production methods with modern technology.

50% Primitivo, 50% Negroamaro.
The Primitivo is harvested in the first 10 days in September and the Negroamaro in the second decade of October. The grape harvest of both varieties is done about 14 days later than normal, so the grapes can achieve a better maturity. The grapes are destemmed and crushed in the wine cellar. Then the must is left to ferment on its pomace in refrigerated stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is racked into oak wood barriques, where it is left to mature.
10 months in French oak barriques and a few months in the bottle before sale.
It is a clear wine with a rich, powerful ruby. The nose presents an intensive, complex, very fine flavour with fruity notes of wild berries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries, plums, with spicy notes of vanilla, cocoa, tobacco, white pepper, elegant, balsamic and slightly mineral. It has dry, warm, soft, quite fresh and spicy flavours with elegant tannins. The flavour is balanced, intense and long lasting.
